He peeked his head out of his room and asked if he could come out yet. I glanced at him over the back of the couch and said, no, you really need more quiet time. (Since he was not yet asleep) I noticed that his lips were blue. I just figured he was drawing on himself with marker and had blue lips. I told Jeremy to have Jay come out of his room to show him his face. When he came out we saw it was more than just his face and it was NOT marker. There was this blue/black stuff all over his hands, arms, face and feet. We asked him what it was and he said it was his spit. Huh? So I said "Jay, this is not spit. What is it?" He got really mad and said "YES it is my spit. It's magic!" (See, I told you he needed a nap) At this point I asked him to show me his magic spit trick. He ran back into his room and grabbed a black Color Wonder paper, spit on it, smeared it around to reveal the colors underneath. He said he couldn't find his "white marker" so he used his magic spit instead. Here is his artwork. He may not have put his blood, sweat and tears into his work, but close enough!
Oh, and totally off topic, but I took a picture of him washing his hands in the bathtub. My little point-and-shoot camera is so awesome. I loved the way the water looks in this picture so I am sharing that with you too.
